Hello, and welcome to GRATITUDE PRACTICE, a newsletter that encourages you to express gratitude to make you (and other people!) feel better.
In case you don’t know me yet: I’m Gina Hamadey, author of I Want to Thank You: How a Year of Gratitude Can Bring Joy and Meaning in a Disconnected World, about the year I sent out 365 gratitude notes to strangers, neighbors, family and friends. Expressing gratitude changed my life—it reconnected me with people I love, healed complicated relationships, and made me a happier person—and now I’m on a mission to encourage others to do the same.
I’ve been sending out a chatty newsletter full of gratitude ideas twice a month since January 2020. For those of you who’ve been with me for a while—thank you! If you don’t opt into the new paid option, below, you will continue to receive one email from me per month, for free, which will continue to be a bright spot in your inbox.

Every month, I’ll introduce a new topic to focus on—Friends, Family, Books, Food, etc.—and send out a little care package at the beginning of the month with printable PDFs, prompts, and sample letters. This is a very low pressure space. I don’t expect anyone to write more than a handful of notes every month. And if note-writing isn’t your thing, that’s OK too! I will include other meaningful ways to express gratitude. Even if you don’t write one letter, this newsletter will open your eyes to the many surprising ways you can express gratitude, and amazing things will start happening once you do.
